This Weeks Most Magical News #01

Woohoo, after a little news break, we are back with a, this week’s most magical news update! We got to enjoy the Holidays with friends and family and also spend the first couple of weeks in January 2020 preparing for our baby son, who will arrive in just a couple of weeks now! But that’s enough about us, let’s get into the first Disney news update of 2020.

  • On Wednesday January 22nd there won’t be a performance of Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show will be back on January 23rd.

  • ShopDisneyUK shared a speak peek of the new, Mad Tea Party, merchandise which will be available in March.

  • The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2020 has arrived it started last weekend on January 17th and will run until February 24th!

  • On January 17th Disneyland opened  Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

  • New merchandise celebrating 45 years of Space Mountain showed up at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. This collection is just available for this month. Check it out!

  • A brand new Christmas Parade has been announced for Disneyland Paris debuting this upcoming Christmas season already. It’s been said that the new parade will have nighttime capabilities, we are looking forward!

  • More parade news for Disneyland Paris. A new day-time parade will replace Disney’s Stars on Parade, the parade who debuted on Disneyland Paris’s 25th anniversary. This new parade will debut on their 30th anniversary and is said to run for 5 years.

  • Good news for the train fans at Disneyland Paris, this weekend the train started to ride again after months and months of being closed due to the refurbishment on the Theater. Guests are still not allowed to enjoy a ride on the train, that’s set April 1th.

  • The World According To Jeff Goldblum will come back for Season 2 On Disney+ on January 24th.
  • Disney will drop the “Fox” name and will rebrand it to 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures
  • Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez won the Variety Artisans Award for Frozen 2.

  • Disney+ will launch on March 24th in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland. ( Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden will have to wait until this Summer.)

  • New concept art for the upcoming parade Magic Happens showed up featuring Princess and the Frog, Sword in the stone and a Cinderella float. This brand new parade will debut on February 28th at Disneyland Resort.
