Every week we collect the most exciting, noteworthy and special Disney news for you. And Boy Oh Boy we’ve got a lot of news for you this week!

• Farley the Fiddler (Gary Francisco) has been performing at Disneyland since 1986. He performed at Splash Mountain, Frontierland and Big Thunder Ranch. He is known for his fife and clogging performances, full of energy. After 33 years, he announced his retirement which will be on Memorial Day, monday, May 27th. He will perform five more shows during his last day.

• Mickey’s PhillarMagic opened this weekend at Disney California Adventure.

• Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been added to the Play Disney app both at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

• New park maps will coming for all 4 parks, both of the water parks and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The new maps will feature all the new rules.

• The Walt Disney Company announced by a tweet that the new Marvel movie, Avengers Endgame, broke records. It is the first movie ever in history to make more that $1 billion dollars in it’s opening weekend. The Avenger Endgame made $1.209 billion dollars during the opening weekend.

• When we saw the pictures from these headbands show up on Social media, we didn’t really think much of it, because we recognise them from Tokyo Disney Resort. But when we read why these pictures showed up everywhere we noticed that they are available at Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney World.

• The latest look at The NBA Experience at Disney Spings, which will open August 12, 2019.

• Keep your head cool during this Summer at Disney California Adventure. The new Ramone’s Serv-Ice Station offers a selection of Cars-themed slushies.

• This weekend pop-up Disney! A Mickey Celebration opened in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. See here a video Brian Hull made.

• The Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris has finally re-opened this week after 16 months of refurbishment.

• Disney has confirmed a new Halloween fireworks show coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

• French newspapers are reporting that a German park guest was arrested on Wednesday evening after he was caught flying a drone inside the Disneyland park. Police creased his images and returned the drone. He was given a warning and was released with a warning.  

• Earlier this month a Goofy Movie- themed Limited Magicband showed up at the parks and now Disney Movie Club has announced that the 1995 Goofy Movie and the 2000 sequel An Extremely Goofy Movie will be available on Blu-ray for the first time ever.

• An UP-themed Pin Trading Event will be coming to Disneyland Paris on June 15th. Tickets are for sale now, buy them here.

• MayThe4thBeWithYou ( Star Wars Day) is returning this year at Discoveryland, Disneyland Paris with:
  • A Meet & Greet with R2D2 and Chewbaca
  • Resistance and First Order Make-up in Videopolis
  • A unique 3D photolocation on Planet Hoth near Discoveryland Theater
  • You are also allowed to wear costumes on May 4th.

• The Hyperspace Mountain will return to Disneyland for May 4th.

• On Monday a new update for the Official Disneyland Paris app finally arrived. You can read everything about it right here.

• Details about Disney Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom:
  • The dates:
    • June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
      
    • July 1st, 11th, 18th, and 25th
      
    • August 1st and 8th
  • The entire Central Plaza will be transformed in to a club, with cool DJ’s.
  • “Villains Unite the Night!” show
  • “Festival of Fantasy” parade
  • a couple of rides will be getting an overlay.

• Disney shared a behind the scenes for the new Wonderful World of Animation.

• Disney’s Hollywood Studios turned 30 this week, on May 1st.

• During DisneyParks livestream for Disney’s Hollywood Studios a new table service restaurant “roundup Rodeo BBQ” Toy Story Playland has been announced.

• Also during that exact same livestream Disney announced a new logo for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
