Updated Disneyland Paris App

For the last couple of weeks the Official Disneyland Paris App wasn’t working really well. A lot of time the park map didn’t fully load and the wait times didn’t always match the actual wait times.

During a InsidEars meeting earlier this month, Disney announced that an update for the app was on its way. We aren’t InsdiEars members ourself so we did’t get a lot of the information.

But today, we saw a completely new Disneyland Paris app.

The app logo has changed drastically and reminds me a little bit of the 90’s. It’s clean and looks very simpel, but now it doesn’t match the other Parks app’s.

The first thing you will see when you open the app, is really the same concept as been used earlier but then in a bit more modern and sharper looking way.

You will still be able to see the date’s, opening times and which attraction or restaurant is closed during the day you will be visiting the parks. But now, you will also see show times, parade times and the time of the firework show, Illuminations all in just one click.

You could already buy your park tickets and fast passes in the app, but now you can also buy tickets for special events, tickets for a dinning show and the annual passes.

When you scroll a little bit lower, you see the “spotlights” and in this case you will see the Marvel season and the upcoming Lion King season, which will make its way into the parks in late June.

If you click on the Marvel spotlight, you will see an entire list of things you can do during the season, the shows, which characters you can meet, a special Marvel season hashtag and even all of the themed food you can get at the studios park.

We were really curious what would happen if we clicked on The Lion King and Jungle Festival and we were blown away.

It took us a little while to find out how got to the map because it is different now than how it was before the update. But you just have to click on the Mickey on the middel of your screen.

And like we mentioned the app had some issues to fully load the maps, but now after the update the map appears really quickly on your screen including the actual wait times. The map also has had some great changes. The map looks beautiful and is so detailed.

The app looks amazing and the update was a really welcome thing, we hardly ever used the Official Disneyland Paris app since we found out Magipark, but that is going to change for sure.

What are your thoughts on the update?
