Nothings beats a birthday at the most magical place on earth. But how can you get the best out this special day? We gathered some tips and tricks to make the best out of your (Childs) birthday!
If you stay on a Disney Resort Hotel it’s a bit easier to make the day more magical, but just like everything else on Disney property, you have to pay some extra money to experience these extra’s.
In-room Celebration Package
If you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel you can book an In-Room Celebration Package before your arrival to make this birthday or anniversary extra special. But beware, the prices are really high.
Phone Call from Mickey
Again if you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel make sure to let the staff now when it’s that special date and ask if it’s possible to get a phone call.
If you don’t stay on property, make sure to go to City Hall and ask if a phone call is possible. Maybe Mickey will wish you a happy birthday!
Birthday Badge
Something that is actually free, is to get a Birthday Badge. Go to City Hall and tell the Cast Members it is your birthday. Make sure that you can show them proof that’s it’s really your birthday. They will write your name on a badge and when characters and cast members see the badge they will congratulate you throughout the day.
It might be possible that the badges out of stock, make sure to check at the Disneyland Hotels desks as well sometimes they will have them in stock. There are also multiple types of badges, sometimes you’ll get a celebration badge instead.
Birthday Cake
Yes, you can eat a birthday cake at Disneyland Paris! If you go to one of the Table Service restaurants or during the Tea Party with Disney Characters you have the option to choose for a birthday cake, make sure to order your birthday cake before your meal. You can also book this feature in advance at various restaurants. As far as we know the cake serves up to 8 people and they have two different flavors and If they have both in stock they’ll ask you Chocolate (cake) or the strawberry (icecream and merangue) the price is the same. A birthday cake costs €35,-.
Character Dining
This is not only fun on a birthday, but it’s always really special to have a character dining during your trip. You’ll have an amazing meal at a Table Service Restaurant and suddenly your favorite characters show up and you’ll have to chance to have a meet and greet with them! There are several restaurants where you can meet characters and there are also different kinds of meets and times. But if you wear your free birthday button or you tell them that it’s your birthday they will make sure to give you an extra magical time.
Private Meet
This will make your birthday super special, having a private meet and greet with your favorite character. All you have to do is sent an email to Disneyland Paris’s quest relations and tell them that you want a private meet and the details, but beware this will cost extra and portably quite a lot as well.
Princess for a day
Which big or small girl doesn’t want to be a princes for a day, one of the very best experiences at Disneyland Paris is the Princess for a Day makeover package. You have to book this in person at the Galerie Mickey, which is on the second floor of the Disneyland Hotel and prices vary between €55 and €350. Read here all the details.

Quick tip: You can bring your own dress or costume if you don’t want to buy a new dress at the parks.
Special Autographs
You can always get autographs from the characters and most of the time we use a special autograph book, but you can also let them sing a birthday card!
