Disney | Mask Tips

In every Disney park it is obligated to wear a face mask when you are on Disney grounds. We spend 3 days at Disneyland Paris wearing a masks and we have some tips for you!

First of all you have to choose the right mask for you. You can make your own mask, buy a selfmade mask or just buy a simple throw away mask. Make sure that it is a mask that Disney approves, that it is comfortable and it is the right size and fit for you.

Bring extra masks with you. Baby you dropped your mask or the mask is starting to get sweaty or you just want a fresh mask. We used 2 or 3 throwaway masks a day.

Our next tip is to bring a little ziplock bag to put your mask in once you are safely seated and are ready to take a bite from your food. When you put the mask in a bag, you don’t have to worry about germs or where to put it.

We also advise you to bring some gum. During the day you will eat and drink something and you are constantly breathing in your own mouth odor. We advise you to bring it just in case you would like to use it. But please throw your used gum in the trash and not on the ground.

Our next tip is for the people who wear make-up. Don’t wear lipstick because the rubbing of the mask will cause the lipstick to spread all over the mouth area. And also if you wear foundation, bring some with you. Your foundation can rub off your face and you don’t want a half covered face once you can take your mask off at the end of the day.

Another tip is, don’t talk too much while you wear your mask. Every time you talk moist will spread inside your mask which can make it a bit stuffy.

Also take some extra breaks during the day. Drink some extra water or take an extra bite of food. Why? because those are the only times you are allowed to take your mask off, once your safely seated and actively eating or drinking.

And our last tip, you will get used to it! It is not as bad as it may seem and you’ll have lots of distraction around you throughout the day. Just embrace this new experience and follow the rules for others and your own safety.
