FAQ: about tickets, best time to go and Annual Passes #DLP2

Best time to visit DLP

In the last couple of years much more and more people come to visit the parks, so that means that the crowds go up. Since this is the only park in Europe lots of Europeans will spend their vacation on this magical place, that’s why we always check a crowd calendar.

Another thing to keep in mind while deciding when to visit, is the weather. During Winter it can be really cold, while during Summer it ca be steaming hot. And it can rain a lot in Europe, check the weather and go prepared!

So before you plan your trip, make sure to check on this calendar when its the best time for you to visit.

How many days should I plan for visiting the two Disney Parks?

We get this question quite a lot and always recommend to stay in Disneyland Paris at least 2 days. But it would be even better if you could stay for 3 or 4 days. This will give you enough time to see both parks and to enjoy a lot of rides. If you go during a lower season, you will have plenty of time to see all of the attractions and have a trip without stress. If you go during the high season, you will have time enough to see a lot of the parks and go home without the idea you have missed too much.

Buying tickets

You can buy tickets at the entrance at Disneyland Paris, but there is always a huge line and that’s just a waist of your time. So we suggest to buy your tickets online. Maby you are also lucky to find a good deal and it saves you a lot of time in the queue.

When you buy the tickets at the entrance a 1 day / 1 park ticket for one adult costs  €87,00. and if you want to go for 1 day / 2 parks it’s €107,00.

Online the tickets are a tad cheaper, starting at €51,00 for 1 day 1 park and up to €100,00 for 1 day 2 parks.

(Tip, don’t buy a 1 day 1 park ticket just for Walt Disney Studios, many rides are closed for refurbishment and a big overhaul including Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars lands, have a look at the latest column for more info.)

Why should I buy an Annual Pass

I think we can write a whole blog just about Disneyland Paris’s Annual Passes (and we will ). If you are going for more than 2 days, with the car and you want to buy some souvenirs, we suggest to buy an Annual Pass and here is why:

Like we just mentioned a regular ticket costs €87,00 for 1 park and €107,00 for the two parks and if you come with a car you also have to pay €30 for parking.

So if you go for two days and just want to see one park you will have to pay €174,00 for your tickets and €60,00 for parking, that’s €234,00 just for one person and won’t include any food or merchandise and is just for one park.

So what if you want to go for 2 days and see both of the parks, you will pay €214,00 and €60,00 for parking, so that means €274,00 for just one person to see both of the parks in two days.

The cheapest Annual Pass called Discovery costs €179,00 per person and you’ll have free parking and can access the parks as many times as you want (on selected days.)

If visiting one day, which park to visit Disneyland Park or Walt Disney’s Studios Park?

We definitely suggest to visit Disneyland Park, especially right now. Due to the expansion of Walt Disney’s Studios Park, a lot of shows and attractions are closed. So there is not so much to explore and do at this moment. Also at Disneyland Park there are parades, a firework show at night and lot’s of attractions for the entire family. The atmosphere is also amazing at this park.
