We are going to give you all the answers on your questions about wait times in Disneyland Paris. Which ride should you do before it gets busy, what is a Fastpass and how does it work?
What is the best time to go to Disneyland Paris for short wait times.
The wait times really depends on a couple of things:
If you’re visiting on weekdays in the low season the wait times are approximately 5 to 10 minutes per ride. Are you visiting in the weekends in july? You shouldn’t be surprised to see 120 minutes for the even not so popular rides.
Because there are a lot of residents from around Disneyland Paris who hold an Annual Pass you should also have a look upon the weather forecast. On a rainy day it will be less crowded than on a sunny afternoon.
If you’re aiming at the smallest wait times, have a look at this calendar for 2018 and the beginning of 2019. The blue days are expected to not being crowded.
The next thing to look at, is if your favourite ride is open. Disneyland Paris is open every single day of the year, so they have to maintain the rides while the parks are open and that means that some of the rides will be closed during your trip.
You can check attraction openings in the Disneyland Paris app. Search for the date you are going to visit and click on it, you’ll see which restaurants and rides are closed during that day. This also has some influence on the other ride’s wait time. If a populair ride is closed the people who normally wait in the queue for that ride, will stand in different queue’s.

Fastpasses
A Fastpass is a way to skip the long lines and have more time for other rides. In Disneyland Paris it is a paper ticket with a timestamp on it.
There are multiple types of Fastpass. The free ones you can get at the attraction entrances and the paid ones which you have to order or buy at the City Hall.
For the free Fastpass, go to the attraction you want a Fastpass for. There you’ll find the Fastpass machines. Above the machines there’s a sign which shows you the return time in a window of 30 minutes. If you think the return time is too early, you must wait until the return time is adjusted to your preferred time.
Then go to the machines and scan your ticket. You’ll get a voucher with the return time and the attraction printed on it. Now you can’t get another Fastpass ticket for the next two hours, after that you can get a new Fastpass for any Fastpass enables ride.
If you return for the attraction, there”ll be a special Fastpass entrance with a cast member. The cast member will check the Fastpass and you’ll be able to bypass the normal queu.
If it’s a busy day, it might be possible that there is no longer a Fastpass available for the ride you wanted or maybe the times are not coping. So you have to make sure to get your first Fastpass early in the morning.
If you want to spend more time in the rides you can also buy all of your Fastpasses.
The prices are for one person and one day only and for all these Fastpass bundles you’ll need acces to both of the parks.
We haven’t bought these and don’t really use Fastpasses a lot, but it can be very beneficial if you’re going during high season or for one day and want to make sure you can do the rides you are looking forward too.
