Last week we went to Disneyland Paris and got to experience the Marvel Season of Super Heroesat Walt Disney’s Studios Park. The first big season after Star Wars and the first season with a lot of themed food!
If you’ve ever been to Disneyland or Walt Disney World you know there is a lot of themed food after basically everything, but at Disneyland Paris that never really existed. So we are really happy that themed food is slowing coming to Disneyland Paris.
So let’s talk a bit more about this Marvel season. The Marvel Season of Super Heroes started on March 23th and will continue until June 16th 2019 and is only at the Walt Disney’s Studios Park. There multiple shows during the day:
- Stark Expo: Make way for a Better tomorrow.
- This is a 20 minute show which includes some of the super heroes such as Captain Marvel, Spiderman, Thor, Loki and Red Skull.
- The show takes place at the stage before the Tower Of Terror.
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off
- Dance with the characters, including Groot, on the best songs from the saga.
- This show will take place several times a day in the Production Courtyard.
- Marvel: Super Heroes United
- This is a really spectacular 20 minute stage show with a lot of special effects.
- You will see all the beloved characters except for Captain Marvel.
- You can find the show at the Studio Theater.
Let’s get to the food, so like we mentioned there was a lot of Marvel themed food available at the Walt Disney’s Studios Park and even though we wanted to try it all, we didn’t had the time and appetite for it, so we had to pick some things that really stood out to us.
Groot cookie
Let’s start with this amazing shaped cookie. Disneyland Paris had themed cookies before, but they didn’t always turn out the right was…. so when we saw this Groot cookie we had to get it!
The cookie was shaped like the head of Groot. It is shortbread with a caramel sea salt filling inside. Basically you have two cookies with some caramel sea salt saus in between. The shape of the cookie was really nice an because you had two layers it wouldn’t break that easily. The caramel inside was really delicious not too sweet, so it wasn’t too much. It reminded me of dutch Stroopkoeken. If you go to Disneyland Paris before June 16th you should really give it a try!
Vegan chili
We were also really excited when we saw Vegan Chili during the announcement. But when the season started we didn’t saw it anywhere on Social Media and once we got at the parks we asked a Cast Member where we could find it, but she never heard of it. So we almost gave it up, when we saw a hidden food truck and looked at the menu and there it was, the vegan chili.
You could choose between a menu (8,99) , the chili with a drink or just the chili (6,99) .We choose the share the menu, the Cast Member at the truck was really friendly and funny. The chili was done before we even got the money ready. Once we found a spot to sit, it was time to taste.
And oh my, this chili was so delicious! You won’t even notice that it’s vegan. It’s a really nice, warm and kinda healthy snack. We didn’t expect much of it, but we can’t give it enough credit!
Unfortunately we didn’t had the time to try out more snacks, but the things we tried, where really good and unique.
Overal we are very positive about the themed snacks we have tried and are kinda sad we didn’t had more time to try the other ones. The Season itself is also pretty cool and a really nice addition to the Studios park, because a lot of attractions are closed at this moment. We also saw the Marvel: Super Heroes United. If you visit during the season, we really suggest to watch this show. It is a really unique and nothing like anything you have seen at Disneyland Paris so far.
Would you try the vegan chili?
