One year ago, April 2018, we went on our Honeymoon and first ever trip to Walt Disney World, where we stayed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. And this is what we think of it.
Including transfer we had a 12 hour bumpy flight and landed around 6.30 pm. So we were pretty tired. Once we got out of the plane the Magical Express waited for us to transfer to our hotel. It was our first time ever in America and to travel thru this beautiful country was so overwhelming and we were so happy. We will never forget the moment we drove from the airport to our hotel…
When the Magical Express delivered us at Disney’s Coronado Springs we had no idea what to expect. It was a massive place and it looked so stunning. We got checked in, received our MagicBands and than we went on our way to find our room. We had to cross half of the resort and saw that the entire place was so peaceful and beautiful. We didn’t know where to look.
Once we found our room, we couldn’t be happier. We had a huge room, with two queen size beds and on one of those beds there were Disney Pins of the Three Caballeros waiting for us. That was because of the construction that took place at Coronado Spring. Such a nice gesture to receive a “Sorry for the inconvenience”.
Rooms
There are three different type of rooms, Cabanas, Ranchos and Casitas. We stayed at the Ranchos. Like we just mentioned we had two queen sized beds in our room, a little desk and a huge dresser with a TV on it. At the end of the room we had two sliding doors which lead you to the vanity, storage room for hanging your clothes and another door. Which lead you into the actual bathroom, including a toilet and a bathtub.
The room was beautifully decorated and fitted perfectly with the theme of the resort. The room and bathroom were very clean and the beds were a real dream after our flight.
Pricing
We payed around €200 per night and stayed for 10 nights. Coronado Springs is a moderate resort, but had everything we could ever want and more. We choose for the whole package including the dining plan.
Hygiene
The room we stayed in was perfectly clean and every time we got back from theDisney parks, it was cleaned and our beds were made. But the entire resort was spotless. The main building with the check-in, shop and restaurants (El Centro), was sparkly clean and also the outside area was looking crisp.
Food
Like we just mentioned we had a dining plan, so we cold practically eat everything we wanted at a quick service restaurant. There were three types of restaurants at El Centro. Cafe Rix, this is where you got a quick snack, grab a drink and refill your drinking mugs. Maya Grill, the table service restaurant, which was not covered in our dining plan so we haven’t been there. And El Mercado de Coronado (Pepper Market), where you could eat all day at this quick service restaurant. In the morning they served breakfast and after a certain time they served dinner/lunch. This is where we had most of our meals during our stay. We had breakfast here, every single morning. They had a lot of choice, so you can have something different every single day. The food was really amazing and served quickly.
Since we had the dining plan we also got a refillable mug, a mug than you can fill at every single Disney Resort. This is something we used so much and we were very happy about.
Conclusion
We can share so much more about this beautiful resort and hope to be there again some day. This is a really nice and quiet hotel, a nice getaway from the craziness at the parks. The resort is beautiful, you have everything you need and so much more. The Cast members are all so nice, there is a great souvenir shop, multiple restaurants and 6 swimming pools. This is the best hotel we ever stayed in, And we loved every second of it. We really recommend this resort.
